David Stone David Stone is Managing Director of Liberty Tree Advisors, LLC. David was previously at Flagship, having joined the firm in 2000 as a General Partner. A veteran of Wall Street, he followed the biotechnology sector for ten years at Cowen & Company, now SG Cowen Securities Corporation, a leading investment bank focused on healthcare and high-technology companies. David began his biotechnology career in 1983 at Genetics Institute, Inc., now a unit of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, where he spent six years as a project manager and communications director. His nearly 20 years of industry experience gives David an insider's perspective on the unique opportunities and risks inherent in biotechnology research, product development and corporate strategy. He earned a BS in Microbiology from Colorado State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
David is currently a Director of Flagship portfolio company Seahorse Bioscience, and had long involvements with Hypnion and Morphotek. In addition, he is Chairman of Oscient Pharmaceuticals.
