Alvine Pharmaceuticals is a clinical stage company developing biologics to target autoimmune/inflammatory diseases.  Alvine’s lead product candidate, ALV003, is a mixture of two proteases engineered to degrade gluten. Gluten is the difficult to digest protein found in wheat, rye, and barley that triggers celiac disease in genetically susceptible individuals.
