Flagship portfolio company Renovis files for IPO
South San Francisco, Calif. - October 17, 2003 - Renovis, a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of drugs to treat neurological diseases and disorders, announced today that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering of shares of its common stock.
Goldman, Sachs & Co. is acting as book-runner and lead manager, and CIBC World Markets, SG Cowen and U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray are acting as co-managers. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined.
A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective.
