Ensemble Discovery Appoints Anna Protopapas to its Board of Directors
Cambridge, Mass. (January 24, 2006)—Ensemble Discovery Corporation today announced the appointment of Anna Protopapas as a member of its Board of Directors. Ms. Protopapas is currently Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Millennium Pharmaceuticals.
“Anna's expertise in strategic corporate development, both within and outside the life science industry will be a valuable addition to Ensemble Discovery and we welcome her to our Board of Directors,” said Richard F. Ms. Protopapas, the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, is responsible for leading Millennium’s efforts in strategic alliances, inlicensing, out-licensing, M&A and new ventures. During her eight year tenure at Millennium, she has been a key driving force in forging alliances that have brought over $2 billion in funding to Millennium, including alliances with Johnson & Johnson, Aventis and Abbott. She has also overseen the formation of multiple development stage inlicensing and out-licensing collaborations and new ventures.
Prior to Millennium, Ms. Protopapas held a diverse set of roles ranging from business development for a technology start-up to product marketing for a global consumer goods company, and process development for a pharmaceutical company. She holds B.S.E. and M.S.E. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and MIT, respectively, and an M.B.A. from Stanford Business School.
